MISSION

More About Us

Our History

Jan Sharnam was founded in 2015 with a vision to empower women and educate children in our communities. Recognizing the challenges faced by marginalized groups, our organization set out to create a supportive environment where individuals could access resources, guidance, and opportunities to thrive.

In our inaugural year, we celebrated significant milestones, building a foundation for impactful programs. Our early initiatives included skill development workshops for women, aimed at enhancing their employability and confidence. This commitment to women’s empowerment has remained central to our mission.

As we grew, so did our impact. In 2018, we organized a series of events, including a Children’s Day celebration filled with fun activities and educational workshops that highlighted the importance of nurturing young minds. That same year, we launched the Diwali Lamp Exhibition, which not only showcased local artisans but also raised funds to support our educational programs.

In 2019, we hosted “Disha – Ek Asha,” a transformative event that provided mentorship and resources to aspiring women. Our Jan Utsav celebration brought the community together, fostering connections and celebrating our cultural heritage.

Our health initiatives, such as the health camp at Felix Hospital, reinforced our commitment to community well-being. Over the years, we have continued to engage with the community through yoga sessions for children, cultural commemorations, and participation in events like the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League.

Through dedication and collaboration, Jan Sharnam has established itself as a beacon of hope and support. We remain steadfast in our mission to uplift women and provide quality education for children, striving for a future where everyone can achieve their full potential. Join us as we continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Our Focus Areas

We believe that education is a fundamental right. Jan Sharnam provides free education to children from marginalized backgrounds, empowering them to break the cycle of poverty. Our vocational training programs equip youth with the skills they need to thrive in today’s job market.

Access to quality healthcare is essential for all. We organize health camps and awareness programs to ensure that underprivileged communities receive the medical attention they need, improving their overall well-being.

Empowering women is at the heart of our mission. We enhance their skills through training programs and provide employment opportunities that promote financial independence and self-confidence.

We recognize the importance of a healthy planet. Our tree plantation drives and waste management awareness initiatives aim to foster a sustainable environment for future generations.
